3M™ No Polish Jacketed LC/UPC Connector enables fast, on-site termination of bend insensitive single mode and multimode fiber in 1.6 to 2.0 mm jacketed cables. The LC/UPC compatible connector consists of a factory-polished ferrule/fiber stub assembly and integral mechanical splice and can be installed without a separate assembly tool. A twist-on, hard shell boot is used to clamp onto the cable jacket and aramid yarn to provide excellent strain relief. To maximize termination yield, the integral splice can be opened and reused up to five times with a cap lifter, which is integrated into every ferrule dust cap.
